Volunteer Spotlight Alert!
During National Volunteer Week (15-21 May 2023), Let’s give a massive shoutout to this incredible guy “Stretch”! Known by all in the Historic Competition Motorcycle Club (HCMC) WA, Stretch is an absolute legend on and off the track!
Not only is he tall, but he’s also one of those exceptional volunteers who goes above and beyond for our racing community. He’s always the first to arrive, helping set up at the crack of dawn, and the last to leave, ensuring everything is taken care of.
With his easy-going nature, Stretch effortlessly finds solutions to any challenge that comes his way. From organising flag marshals to setting up equipment and taking sound level recordings, he’s a jack of all trades. But his real shining moment is when he takes on the role of our Recovery driver.
After a mishap on the track, Stretch’s smiling face is a sight for sore eyes as he swiftly assists in getting you and your bike back to the pits. His efficiency and seamless coordination with everyone involved make him an invaluable asset to our motorcycle racing events.
Even though Stretch may not currently race, he’s always present during our tuning days, experiencing the thrill first hand and understanding the ins and outs of keeping everything running smoothly.
Stretch, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for everything you do! Your dedication and hard work ensure that countless racers can enjoy their passion to the fullest. Thank you for being a true hero behind the scenes!
