The Board of Motorcycling WA is happy to announce the appointment of Colin Cameron as the new CEO replacing Carl Grossetti who has chosen to leave when his contract expires in March 2024.
The board was pleasantly surprised by the level of interest in the role, in particular from members of MWA, such that the short list of five applicants included four active members. The final decision was a line call between two of the candidates from within the sport.
Colin came to the sport as a road race competitor and has been an active member of the MCRC achieving life membership in 2022. He has been an active coach and more recently gained his level 4 Clerk of Course qualification.
Since 2001 Colin has worked in a number of roles associated with motorcycling, his current role with Australian Motorcycle and Marine Finance has given him training and practical experience that should serve MWA well given the issues currently faced by the sport.
Colin will commence with MWA mid January in order to work with Carl for an orderly handover.
The board would also like to thank Carl for his efforts at MWA and wish him well for the future.
