Perfect weather greeted the riders for the final round of the 2024 AGV Helmets Australia WA State Road Racing Championships at CARCO.com.au Raceway on Sunday 10th November. There were good entries across all the classes and with all championships still up for grabs the racing was fast and furious.

The VRT Signs Sidecar Championship got the day’s proceedings under way, and right from the start Darren Nash/Cooper Mapstone (RHR Kawasaki ZX-10) made their intention clear, storming to a race winning lead. Their nearest rival Sam Watson/Eamon Hegarty (ETC Paving LCR GSXR1000) suffered a crash in race 1 which tore the chair wheel off, and whilst they made to the grid for the final two races there were further problems, which prevented them from applying any pressure on the Nash outfit. Nash and Mapstone were undefeated winning the championship with360 points, Watson and Hegarty held on to second place with 258 points and F2 outfit of Tom Quaye/Joel Boborci (Meon Valley Racing GSXR 600) took third place with 245 points.
The by olive & co Stars of Tomorrow belonged to one rider, Hayden Treversh (Martin 17 Coaching Kawasaki ZX-6R). He not only took the honours in the 600 class with 220 points, but also took the win in the Overall series with 182 points. Second in the 600 division was Craig Eldridge (Yamaha R6) with Josh King (JK Mechanical Services Yamaha R6) third. In the outright series Ryan Caldwell (EAC Systems Aus Ducati V4R) was second with Martin Monahan (Occ Construction Kawasaki ZX-10) third.
In the Turn1 Motorsports Junior Road Racing Championship Lauchy Williams (Trakdayz Yamaha R15) took the Championship with 364 points, ahead of Rossi McAdam (GoMoto Store Yamaha R15) with 350 points. McAdam didn’t contest the meeting due to riding in the final round of the OJC Cup at Tailem Bend. Third was Joel Jenzen (Liquid Army Yamaha R15) with 343 points.
Ben Stronach (VRT Signs Yamaha R1), with 243 points, went into this final round of the Dynapumps Superbike Championship holding a slender 8-point advantage over Adam Senior (Marine ProWest Yamaha R1) and Bronson Pickett (JMR Yamaha R1), who were tied on 235points, with Sam Clarke (RS36 SuzukiGSXR1000) 10 points further back on 225 points. Clarke took three convincing wins but it just wasn’t quite enough to grab back-to-back titles falling three points short of Stronach with three second places with Pickett pipping Senior by a solitary point to take third place. Stronach finished with 303 points, Clarke was second on 300 points and Pickett took third with 288 points. Ross Hudson (IDB WA Yamaha R1) took the C Grade Superbike Series with 348 points.
The GoMoto Store Production Championship saw Lachy Williams (Turn1 Motorsports Yamaha R3) take his second State Title for the year with a win and two second places for 296 points. Second was Joel Jenzen (Streetwise Transport Yamaha R3) with 283 points with Calvin Moylan (Hydro-Pneumatics Kawasaki Ninja 400) third with 202 points, despite not contesting the Round due to ASBK duties at Tailem Bend. In the Production Lights Series Martin Monahan (Loftysracepaint Kawasaki Ninja) with 324 points ahead of Lexie McAdam (GoMoto Store Kawasaki Ninja 300) with 237 points and Tahlia Lang (JB Racing Kawasaki Ninja 300) with 225 points.
In the Cully’s Yamaha Supersport Championship Callum O’Brien (Road 2 Race Kawasaki ZX-6R) scored three strong wins to take the championship with 323 points. Second was Adam Senior (Senior Engineering Honda CBR600RR) with a second and two third places and 283 points. Third was Jordan White (5 Star Yamaha R6) on 279 points. White also took the honours in the Supersport C Grade Series with 320 points.
