Ride, Race, Enjoy.
All sporting organizations have a responsibility to provide safe environments for children and young people.
Motorcycling WA has adopted the Working With Children Check (WWCC) as a prerequisite for anyone in child-related work – paid and voluntary. It involves a national criminal history check and review of findings of workplace misconduct, and it applies to anyone who will or will likely have individual / unsupervised contact with children.
The requirement for WWCC checks extends to all Committee / Board members, and may include officials, coaches, team managers and promoters.
A WWCC is different from a Police Check as it provides ongoing monitoring for criminal offences for the duration of the validity of the check (five years) and can be carried across employment/volunteer positions.
