Motorcycling WA inspects each permanent race venue in Western Australia that is used by an affiliated club annually.

What is a track license & why is it important?

A track license is a license granted by Motorcycling WA. This ensures all possible measures are taken to comply with the standards of the sport, as outlined in the Track Standards. to obtain a copy of the latest track standards please email operations@motorcyclingwa.org.au

These guidelines have been set out to enhance the safety of our riders, participants, officials and all other parties. This includes covering events permitted by Motorcycling WA at a Motorcycling WA licensed track with public liability insurance.

When is a track licence valid?

  • A track license is only valid until the expiration date noted on the license certificate.
  • A track license is only valid when motorcycling activities are conducted under a Motorcycling WA Permit and comply with the rules contained in the Manual of Motorcycle Sport.

How can I get a copy of my current track licence?

How do I know if my venue is licenced?

MWA keeps a record of all licensed venues. To find out if yours has a current license please email operations@motorcyclingwa.org.au

How to arrange to have your venue inspected or re-inspected

Step 1

Club ensures that the track meets the current track standard please email operations@motorcyclingwa.org.au 
anything that falls outside of these guidelines, the club can complete a 2018 Track Standards Amendment Form for MWA’s consideration.

Step 3

Motorcycling WA contacts a licensed venue inspector & passes on the presidents contact details.

Step 4

Venue inspector contacts the president of the club and arranges an inspection time.

Step 5

Inspector completes inspection with the president of the club present.

Step 6

Venue inspector sends report to Motorcycling WA within 5 days of inspection taking place.

Step 7

If passed – Track license is sent from Motorcycling WA to club.
If failed – Club make’s outlined changes and notifies Motorcycling WA that the changes are complete. Process begins again from step 3.
