As a result of a series incident involving an un-licensed rider who was not a member of the associated club, MWA will suspend all Quarterly Track Access Permits with immediate effect until further notice.
This decision has been determined following an increase in incidents where accountability has been taken for granted.
This determination and suspension will be ongoing during the course of an Investigation.
As MWA apply a measured approach to replace the Quarterly Track Access Permit, the future of the QTA permit (exclusive to WA) is not included in the MA Harmonization project and therefore moving forward your club will be required to apply for a Non-Competition Practice permit to conduct organized practice events.
Non-Competition Practice Permit’s require a Level 2 Clerk of Course signed on to observe and manage the event with Basic Medical Care as per the Medical Services Guidelines.
Please ensure all members are advised of this and look to have the keys to your venue returned or look to replacing the lock on the venue in the interim.
Your understanding on this matter is appreciated as MWA look to ways to Manage more structed practice events.
Please feel free to contact Nathalie De Montereau or Colin Cameron to further discuss any concerns with this temporary suspension to the QTA.
