“The 2019 Supermoto racing season is set to commence in just a little over two weeks!
Round 1 of the SMWA Championship is taking place at the Wanneroo International Kartway on Sunday the 17th of March – gates are open from 6:30am, racing is set to commence from 10:30am and SPECTATOR ENTRY IS FREE!
The committee have been busy since the 2018 season wind-up, there is a new and improved dirt section approved with thanks to the Tiger Kart Club meaning that racers will need to manoeuvre their way through more corners, more jumps and more madness while racing on slicks of their choice.
The club has made some changes to the championship points system which should see more riders entering the Open class making for some thrilling racing alongside Damon Gibbons and Tim Boujos who are ready to go head-to-head after only a few points separated them from first and second place in 2018.
Our Juniors will be back in full force with 2018 2nd place finisher Jayden Martin ready to rumble after recently returning from the first National Supermoto round held in NSW.
The club is looking forward to growing the sport and welcoming some new faces this year so if you or someone you know are interested in giving Supermoto a try have them email supermotowa@gmail.com or head to the website www.supermotowa.com to find out more!”
