2018 WA Limestone Western Australian Mototrials Championships

The AJS Mototrials Club of WA is excited to announce the 2018 State Mototrials Championships at one of Western Australia’s most iconic trials venues in Jarrahdale.

The family day event will take place on Sunday 9 September 2018  Jarrahdale Road, Jarrahdale commencing at 9:30am. Thanks to WA Limestone for supporting this event.

Come and experience a safe, enjoyable and exhilarating fun filled day full of challenges, obstacles, boulders, streams, and mud – a perfect balance.

Spectators will have the chance to see Western Australia’s finest exponents of the Trials discipline, ranging from 6 year old juniors to seniors at 70+ riding modern machines, riding as solo’s and sidecars as well – there will be something for everyone to watch!

Trials, or Mototrials as the sport is known, test a rider’s ability to navigate a section of terrain without putting down his or her feet, stalling the motorcycle or crashing. Trials bikes are off-road motorcycles, and are specially engineered to produce smooth usable power across a range of engine speeds. They are light and nimble, featuring relatively soft, but responsive suspension with success relying on rider skill, balance and throttle control rather than power and speed.

Event organiser, Barry Barton says all are very welcome to come along and experience the thrill of this motor sport.  “A sausage sizzle and drinks will be on sale and a coffee van will be on-site for the day.”

AJS Mototrials Club of WA Inc. President, Barry explains that Western Australia’s own ‘A’ Grade State Champion, Neil Price will be there to fiercely defend his current title against other ‘A’ Grade participants.

“What is certain is that along with other peers, the experienced Grant Morris will be chasing Neil’s tail to secure his eighth title, and Craig Austin won’t let them have it their own way”

Classes entered (A grade, B, C, veterans, Club Class, Juniors and Sidecars).
