WAMX Make Smoking History State Senior Motocross Champs Round 5

The Countdown Is On -Two weeks until the Penultimate Round 5 The Make Smoking History State Motocross Championships and we head to Pinjar Park, home to the Junior Wanneroo Motorcycle Club – the first time our Senior Series has been hosted here.

Are you ready for 2 days of solid fast, high flying Motocross Action on the weekend of August 18th & 19th??? Come down and watch these awesome athletes tame this track.

After a very wet & muddy round in Bunbury – some riders will be keen to make amends and other will be just as keen to consolidate their placings.

Hopefully the weather gods will play nice as The Pinjar Park Circuit will have plenty of thrills as this track is fast, tight & twisty but can also, if wet, be really deep and push these motocross machines & riders to their limits.

The Cullys Yamaha Women’s Championship will be keen to consolidate on their Bunbury results. Who will master the Wanneroo sand?? – Tahlia O’Hare still leads the Championship with Kara Cats 45 points behind in 2nd place, Lily Kent is hanging firmly onto 3rd place and Megan Bagnal has secured 4th place and with only one more round after this one, anyone of these hard charging ladies could come out on top.

After a disappointing round at Bunbury with bike failures Luke Gaisford will be keen to make amends. The Bunbury sand took its toll on our 4 wheeled machines and these riders will be keen to make amends. The Brutum Logistics Quad Championships warriors will no doubt be in battle mode and guarantee some high flying 4-wheeled action.

Action is starting to seriously heat up and there will be some no-holds bar-banging action in both the Planet Honda MX1 and the Pirelli/Motul Oils MX2 Championships.

David Birch had to work very hard to take the win at Bunbury and can expect the same hard hitting action to continue! This type of sand track is home to many of our top riders and you can expect to see some epic battles.

After some epic battles at the Shrubland Park circuit BeeFirm NRG sponsored rider Mat Fabry is still leading the MX2 Championship, the points gap has now widened to 21 points separating 2nd to 4th placed riders - Mitchell Outram has moved back into 2nd place over Billy Middleton and Jayden Fabry has consolidated his 4th placement. The battles will continue!!  Who will come out on top at Wanneroo?

Our Make Smoking History Veterans and Masters take a rest for this round and will return for their grand finale at Round 6 in September.

The fourth and final round of the Amateur Cup for Clubman riders will also be run and won. Jaxon Turner still leads on 302 points from Cheyne Speak 248 points and Matthew McMellon has taken over 3rd place on 193 points. With local boy Max Christie taking the win at Bunbury and upsetting the apple-cart, who will come out on top and take home the trophy in the Make Smoking History Senior Amateur Cup Minis Series for 2018????
