Make Smoking History State Motocross Championships

With only 1 week to go, are you ready for 2 days of solid fast, high flying Motocross Action on the weekend of July 21st and 22nd?

The Make Smoking History State Motocross Championships head to Bunbury and the Shrubland Park circuit – famous for its feral section and deep sand on this small, tight & thrilling track.

This round is also our PINK round in support of Breast Cancer - So you will see a lot of colour for this round, with riders showing their support of this cause by wearing pink or purple gear, helmets, boots, ribbons and pink bikes too!

The Shrubland Circuit will have plenty of thrills as this track is fast, tight & twisty but can also, if wet, be really deep and push these motocross machines & riders to their limits.

Our ladies in the Cullys Yamaha Women’s Championship are pumped for this sand round and will be thrilling to watch. Who will master the sand – Tahlia O’Hare still leads the Championship with Kara Cats in 2nd place, Lily Kent in 3rd place and Chelsea Blakers in 4th anyone of these hard charging ladies could come out on top.

After a thrilling round at Byford which saw Luke Gaisford take the win by 1 point from Championship Leader Chris Bosnakis, the Brutum Logistics Quad Championships will also take to the track. With only 69 points separating 1st place to 4th - No doubt there will be some high flying 4-wheeled action.

Action is starting to seriously heat up and there will be some no-holds bar-banging action in both the Planet Honda MX1 and the Pirelli/Motul Oils MX2 Championships.

David Birch is still leading the MX1 Series despite hard fought battles with Jayden Rykers and Stevie Heilers at the recent Byford round. The top 10-12 riders are all hard hitting  riders and will take on this track with delight, some love it more than others.

BeeFirm NRG sponsored rider Mat Fabry has been dominating the MX2 Championship so far this year but with only 11 points separating 2nd to 4th placed riders Billy Middleton, Mitchell Outram and Jayden Fabry there is no doubt to anyone, that the battles will continue!!  With some riders who love to play in the sand anything could happen.

Our Make Smoking History Veterans and Masters return for this round and after their recent Nationals at Manjimup it will be interesting to see who comes out on top!! Southwest local James Craig leads the Masters Championship with Trevor Unstead 34 points behind and Marc Payne in 3rd only 6 points behind Trevor.

Scott Petricevich has a 23 point lead in the Veterans Championship from Martin Costa and Craig Pangallo in 3rd place.

The third round of the Amateur Cup for Clubman riders will also be run and this Mini Series will have their final round in August at Wanneroo.  Currently Jaxon Turners leads on 207 points from Cheyne Speak 172 points and Spencer Astwood in 3rd place on 166 points. So who will come out to play in the sand and come out the victor??

So…. Lock in the dates – July 21st and 22nd – and do not miss out on one second of the thrilling Championship Series and watch our big boys & girls fly!!!
