MWA Heads North for Kimberley Coaching

On the June long weekend MWA Board member and Level 2 MA Coach, Winton Lawton, headed to Broome to assist the Kimberley Enduro Club in preparation for the Willare 4 Hour Enduro being held on August 24th and 25th..

Winton presented a Level 1 Coaching Course at the Kimberley Enduro Club headquarters and over the weekend the Kimberley Enduro Club gained 4 new accredited coaches.  All four of the new coaches showed great coaching techniques both in the classroom and trackside.

Participants sat the classroom component on Friday and Saturday, and then were able to put their new coaching skills into practise with an afternoon practical coaching session.

The newly accredited Motorcycling WA coaches will be conducting Kickstart Coaching for new junior riders prior to the Willare 4 Hour Enduro event in August.

Motorcycling WA offers an extensive program to train and accredit officials and coaches in Western Australia.

In order to act as an official at any Motorcycling Australia permitted event a volunteer should undertake training to acquire the appropriate skills. From this training, Officials will learn that with accreditation, i.e. Licencing, they have the responsibility to ensure that race meetings and private practice sessions are conducted in the safest and fairest environment possible.

If you are a regional Club located more than 150km from Perth, have eight (8) or more participants and wish to hold any MWA courses at your club please contact Hannah Lawton on 9371 5333 to schedule a presenter.  All Officials Training Seminars are Free of Charge
