Once again Bridgetown will get the opportunity to experience the nostalgia of old scramble and motocross bikes at the Wheatley’s property off of Mokerdillup Road in Wandillup. Sponsorship from Fuchs Lubricants, Polisport, Pirelli, Motul, Steve’s Motorcycles and Manjimup Motorcycles and Small Engine Service is greatly appreciated.
The Scramble, now in its fifth year, is a ‘not for profit’ charity event. This year’s beneficiaries being the ‘Fair Go - Moto’ program, which provides the opportunity for young members of our community with disabilities to experience the joys of motorcycling and the Cancer Council for ongoing research into cancer.
The All Power events, Peter Squire Cup for Pre78 models and the Ross Campbell Cup for Pre90 models, will also be fundraising events for the Cancer Council.
The event, to be held on the September long weekend will feature motocross bikes from the 60’s through to the early 90’s.
Entry for spectators is free but a donation for charity fundraising would be welcomed.
Racing starts Sunday September 24th at 9 a.m. No dogs or alcohol allowed. Catering by Bridgetown Lions Club and ‘Tracey’s Treats’ available on site. Follow the signs from the bridge.
If you would like to get up close to the racing by volunteering as a Flag Marshall or with any other enquiries call Nick Maxfield 0427 603 182.
