A great time was had by all that competed at the Boddington VMXWA Club Run. The VMXWA club president, Gary Johnson, would like to thank those who came down on the Saturday and helped set up the track and special thanks to Steve Hanson for bringing a trailered portaloo to the track, it was very uch appreciated by everyone!
The Saturday night was freezing literally Zero Degrees followed by fog early Sunday morning which then became a sunny, perfect day. The rain during the week put enough moisture in the ground so it was a dust free race day. The track was a bit bumpy but there were no complaints.
Ralph Miller and Jason Clayden were having a good scrap in group 1 with Ralph coming out on top. Group 2 had Kevin Clayden showing all the whippersnappers how to ride with Paul Gibbs keeping him honest. The over 55 had a good turnout with some of our elder gentlemen Bill Watson. Stan Read and Ron Tyres showing they can still mix it with the youngsters.
One sidecar had Cliff Cook trying a terrified passenger who just happens to be his daughter’s boyfriend, I did hear Cliff say that she will have to get a new boyfriend with sidecar skills. The last race of the day the butcher’s picnic was won by new member Jason Ferguson much to the disappointment of his son Nick who has yet to win a race.
The president and the club would again like to thank to those who helped (flaggies. officials and the landowners the Fosters ) a great day was had by all.
