Round 2 Make Smoking History Junior State MX Championships
With a severe weather warning issued for the South-West, Sunday morning proved entertaining driving to Bunbury's Shrubland Park for Round 2 Make Smoking History Junior State Motocross Championships, with pouring rain, lightning, thunder and wind.

Scrutineering was held in cold, wet conditions undercover but everyone was in good spirits and the riders meeting was held under cloud and it stopped raining.
The sun made an appearance on and off throughout the day with only a couple of light showers to dampen an already very wet track.  Track conditions were tough as some riders found out, when the track decided to try and eat them.

The Junior Quad classes were well supported and certainly meant business during racing.  With running repairs between races for some quads nearly all of them got through the day.

With over 30 young riders dual classing in the Two Wheel classes, there was action aplenty across the board.  The Sprint Races in Heat 2 of the day are proving to be very entertaining as riders must switch from timed racing to short, sharp sprints of 3 or 4 laps.  Results were very tight – sometimes only 1 point separating 1st from 2nd on the day.
